Check out our 1st grade gingerbread making and our December Readers of the Month.

We are so proud of these 9 third graders who won at the local level for the North Carolina Reading Association Young Author's/Artist contest. The work of each of these students will move on to compete at the state level which will be judged later this school year. They will all be celebrated at a local celebration in the spring. We are so proud of your hard work and good luck at the state level!

Our PTO has worked so hard with getting the Holiday Shop ready for students this week. It's like a magical Santa's workshop in there. Check out some footage from day 1 of shopping yesterday.

Make sure you find time on Thursday, December 4th to swing by West Carteret between 5:00-7:00 with the kids! Students from West will be hosting the 4th annual Holiday Fest! It's free entry, but you are encouraged to bring canned goods to donate. There will be games, crafts, and snacks! All elementary-aged students are welcome to attend!

Today is our last day for the ABC Food Drive so we have an update included. Also on today's morning news is an "MCPS Book of the Month" announcement as well as an announcement from Mrs. Davenport.
